Payroll Specialist

Description:

We are partnering with a growing organization in NW Houston, to find a Payroll Specialist who is proficient in the UKG payroll platform and experienced in full-cycle payroll processing. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-paced HR department, where you'll play a key role in payroll accuracy and employee satisfaction. Initially, you'll focus on U.S. payroll processing, with the potential to support global payroll when needed. This position is on-site 5 days a week, with an average of 40 hours per week.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process full-cycle payroll for U.S. employees using the UKG payroll platform.
  • Maintain payroll records, prepare necessary forms (I-9s, employment offers, transfer/exit paperwork), and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Act as a key point of contact for payroll inquiries, ensuring clear and effective communication with employees and management teams.
  • Assist in transferring scanned records into the new HRIS system (UKG) and generate necessary reports.
  • Participate in staff meetings and attend relevant training/seminars as needed.
  • Ensure payroll discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner and work to streamline payroll processes.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in payroll processing or HR roles, with a strong focus on payroll and compliance.
  • Expertise in UKG payroll systems is required.
  • Prior experience in global HR is a plus.
  • Manufacturing industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are required.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $60K - $78K per year.
  • Quarterly bonus potential.
  • No health/dental premiums for employee-only coverage.

Location:

  • On-site position in Northwest Houston, TX (5 days/week).
