Description
The Cart Delivery Driver safely operates a company pickup and pulls a 16-foot trailer with a drop-down ramp while responsible for physically loading, delivering, collecting, repairing, and unloading residential roll carts to and from customer locations. Drivers will navigate public and private roads, driveways, alleyways, parking lots, and high-traffic roadways, in both rural and urban locations. Highly skilled vehicle clearance and backing maneuvers are essential to successfully perform this job. This is an entry-level Non-CDL driving position.
Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
•Operates vehicle in accordance with OSHA. (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements as well as all local, municipal, state, and federal laws.
•Performs pre-and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment and document checks on standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report.).
•Immediately report any unsafe situations or service-related issues to the Route Manager or Dispatch.
•Participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings required by Live Oak Environmental or Route Manager.
•Works closely with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
•Notifies the Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
•Notifies the Route Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions, including blocked containers, closed lots, streets, alleyways, or potential safety hazards.
•Communicates customer requests to Route Manager or Dispatch.
•Frequently enters and exits both cab and trailer to manually/physically deliver new empty roll carts and collect material loaded roll carts weighing in excess of 65 pounds.
•Works daily with the routing team and dispatchers to ensure efficient sequential orders for delivery and removals.
•Works daily with the local on-site cart maintenance team to ensure proper cart inventory needs.
•Completes and submits customer tickets as required, using on-board computer technology.
•Completes basic field service repairs on carts such as lid swaps and axle/wheel repairs.
•Completes site evaluations to ensure locations are conducive for safe and proper servicing.
•Delivers carts on the customer's property in a manner that ensures safe and easy recovery by the customer.
•Follows route assignments as directed and completes end-of-day documentation and the check-out process.
•Performs all duties as scheduled by the Route Manager or Dispatch and assists other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.

Education and Experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
•Hold a current Driver's License.
•Legally eligible to work in the United States.
•Must be at least 18 years of age.
•Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
•Successfully completed and passed pre-employment DOT drug screen.
