Four years relevant administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field. Experience with university travel and/or procurement procedures and processes preferred. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.Nature & Purpose of Position Performs complex travel and disbursement administrative assistant duties for the College of Education in support of instructional and academic departments.Primary Responsibilities Performs complex travel and disbursement administrative associate duties for the College of Education. Provides departmental or University information to students, departments, and staff. Provides support and training to departments for travel and operations activities. Processes and tracks all college-wide travel pre-approval and expense reports. Works directly with Senior Director of Strategic Operations and Projects to review, revise, and interpret procedures for the College of Education regarding travel functions. Holds trainings as needed for departments, faculty, staff, and students related to travel activities. Compiles, tracks, reconciles and reviews data and reports related to travel and procurement including tracking of multiple funding sources. May attend and/or lead internal and external meetings. Prepares, reviews, revises and distributes documents and correspondence. Reviews, revises, and interprets policies and procedures. Supervision of student assistant(s). May assist with other administrative functions, such as inventory control, events and purchasing. Performs other related duties as assigned.Other Specifications Requires detailed knowledge of university infrastructure, policies, and procedures. Requires thorough knowledge of office and university systems. Must have the ability to solve operational problems and make suggestions for process improvement. Requires the ability to communicate in an effective and timely manner with faculty, staff, and students. Knowledge of university administrative travel functions preferred.
