The supervisor must be able to assign, manage and monitor work of company employees and contractcrews. Visit job sites in all types of weather conditions and different types of terrain. Ensure work is performed in a safemanner while meeting construction specifications. Interfaces with a number of distribution departments and other departmentswithin the Company while dealing with the financial consideration of each job assignment.JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESManages distribution construction projects while meeting budget obligations. Tracks and controls the constructionphase of projects, including costs, schedule, and construction quality. Develops formal construction plans andproactive mitigation plans. Reports variances from process, project scope and/or design that affect safety, quality,cost, schedule, or customer satisfaction.Accountable for motivating a diverse and geographically dispersed Entergy and Contractor work force dealing with awide variety of safety and training issues. Leads teams to achieve operational excellence by: 1) setting andcommunicating aggressive performance expectations, 2) learning/teaching process improvements, 3)measuring/monitoring performance levels, 4) providing feedback positive/negative and coaching performanceimprovements to employees.Responsible for training and development of employees and contractors to ensure safe execution of projects. Drivescompany and contractor safety management initiatives.Attends/audits safety tailboard meetings, frequently visits jobsites, and ensures appropriate outages are scheduledper Transmission outage coordination process. Responsible to recognize hazards in the workplace and have theability to mitigate the hazards.Reviews contractor invoicing for accuracy, verifies charges are correct as per contracts rates and terms. Responsiblefor attending Pre-Design and Pre- Construction meetings to promote productive design and construction. Responsiblefor the recording of completed work within Entergy systems, keep and manage all records, design As-Built, completeTime & Labor entry.Ensures proper maintenance and care of Company equipment.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSMinimum education required of the positionHigh school diploma or equivalent work experience. Bachelor's Degree preferred.Minimum experience required of the position7+ years' experience in work-related field (Transmission, Distribution, or Engineering). Strong knowledge of computers and related technology.Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the positionExperience in managing/executing capital projects.
