Summary

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Systems Engineer with technical knowledge and program management experience, to provide technical expertise and support to our military clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Virtual Machines, array configurations, and Linux. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing current solution arrays and providing innovative and cutting-edge solutions for future unforeseen challenges. What you will do

  • Understanding of program management process, procedures, and regulations; with ability to work on a team with Program Manager and Technical Lead

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients (military leaders, personnel, and other stakeholders/Program Management Office), to ensure effective communication and coordination

  • Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and operational concepts in cyber and network architecture

  • Understanding of IPSEC, Virtual Machines, Ubuntu Linux, VMware ESXI administration, and BackUp RAID array configurations (ie. RAID 1 vs. RAID 0)

  • Understanding of remote desktop configuration, WSUS configuration, VPN tunneling, routers, and switches

  • Additional duties as assigned or required

What we are looking for

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience

  • Systems/Network Engineering experience

  • Basic understanding of IPSEC, Virtual Machines, Ubuntu Linux, VMware ESXI administration, BackUp RAID array configurations, Remote Desktop configuration, WSUS configuration, VPN tunneling, routers, and switches

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Bonus points for...

  • Bachelors in a related field

  • 5+ years of Systems/Network Engineering experience

  • Proven experience as a Technical Engineer (cyber network); with strong understanding of program management

  • Familiarity with military cyber security protocols

  • CCNA knowledge and understanding

  • Clearance: Possess and maintain a Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
