Description Of Services
The network engineer programs and troubleshoots network equipment such as routers, switches, DSLAM, and nanobeam equipment. The engineer monitors circuits daily to detect anomalies that may cause outages and provides network support for all programs used in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ).

Candidates must meet or exceed the minimum skills and experience requirements. Those who do not meet these criteria may still be visible to employers but might not be considered for this role.

Terms of Service
Start date: 06/23/2025; End date: 08/31/2025. Estimated hours per candidate: up to 880. Extensions or renewals are possible with mutual agreement.
Work Hours and Location
Services are during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), excluding holidays. Primary location: 815 11th St, Huntsville, TX 77340. Work is hybrid: on-site and telework, with occasional in-person meetings in Huntsville.

This is a 40-hour/week position from award date through August 31, 2025. On-site duties are required initially; hybrid schedule may be offered post-training. Travel expenses are not reimbursed.
