Duties

• Supervise, carefor, and provide correctional treatment to inmates while guiding junior Correctional Officers.
• Maintain and enhance institution security, focusing on the health and welfare of inmates, and fostering positive public relations.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations to ensure judicial sanctions are executed and inmates remain securely in custody.
• Authorized to carry firearms and implement necessary physical interventions, including the use of deadly force if required to maintain order.
• Be prepared to work under challenging conditions, including long hours, irregular shifts, weekends, holidays, and unexpected overtime during emergencies or high-demand periods.
• Utilize post orders, BOP program statements, local supplements, custodial manuals, internal communication, and team meetings to stay informed on operations and procedures.
• Maintain flexibility and apply a broad knowledge base to effectively resolve issues as they arise.
