Job Title: Facility/ Grounds Worker

Hourly Pay Rate: $17.25 - $20.38

Location: 19665 Airport Parkway

Civil Service: Yes

Shift Hours: Monday - Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm)

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• MUST HAVE VALID TEXAS DRIVERS LICENSE
• Knowledge of tools, equipment and machinery used in lawn maintenance
• Prior lawn maintenance/plant care experience, a plus
• Must work well with others
• Physically able to work outdoors

Primary Job Duties
• Responsible for performing manual routine work assignments as lawn/grounds maintenance worker
• Operating basic lawn equipment and machinery, including mowers, trimmers, weed eaters, chain saws, etc.
• Frequent lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds
• Perform basic maintenance on lawn equipment
• Perform basic landscaping maintenance for flower beds
• Any other duties assigned

After receiving a conditional offer of employment, applicant must pass a drug screen (1/2 cost = $20.00, responsibility of applicant) and may need a physical agility test (1/2 cost = $22.50, responsibility of applicant) before becoming an employee of Montgomery County.
