PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate relevant machinery such as cranes, pallet jacks, forklifts and other lifts to transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, Outlook, etc.)

• Capability to use the ERP system to execute inventory transactions.

• General problem-solving skills.

• Operate lifting devices, such as forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack material.

• Position lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.

• Perform routine inspections on vehicles and material handling equipment.

• Participation in Quality and HSE initiatives and procedures is mandatory. 5S, Observation program, toolbox meetings, quality and HSE training and preventive maintenance program.

• Perform other DH Distribution related tasks as assigned by your manager.

• High School education or equivalent or 2-year experience in the distribution environment.

• Forklift or Swing Arm operator experience is a plus but not required.

• Ability to apply common sense of understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, Outlook, etc.)

• Able to perform problem solving with shipment discrepancies.

• Maintain a well-organized workstation.

• Assuring compliance is met for all orders being shipped or received.

• Work in a Team environment.

• JD Edwards or similar ERP experience preferred

• Customer Service Skills - relating to communication, responsiveness, and ability to follow special instructions.
