Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Make sure proper SOPs and PPE guidelines are being followed
  • Inspect and operate forklifts to all safety requirements
  • Inspect doors/docks to ensure they are fully operational
  • Make sure all trailers are inspected to ensure food grade transport
  • Inspect and load raw materials to Crown and customer specifications
  • Transport raw materials/parts safely through a fast past environment
  • Communication with, team members, spotter, drivers, etc.
  • Properly scan and monitor moving inventory through the system
  • Follow FIFO assurance to ship out aged inventory
  • Ensure paperwork is filled out and distributed correctly to all parties
  • Support team members on all shifts
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or industrial driving.
  • Valid driver's license; CDL may be preferred depending on vehicle type.
  • Experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Ability to safely load and unload raw materials and finished aluminum cans without causing damage.
  • Familiarity with RF scanners, inventory systems, barcoding, and basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of logistics paperwork, including BOLs, packing lists, and receiving reports.
  • Understanding of FIFO/LIFO material flows common in manufacturing.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in environments with noise, heat, or fast-paced production lines.
  • Understanding of ISO standards, 5S, or other manufacturing best practices (a plus).
  • Experience working in environments with metal, high-speed machinery, or food-grade packaging.
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials handling, including PPE and safe loading procedures.
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols, including lockout/tagout awareness and pedestrian/vehicle safety in a plant setting.
  • Strong communication skills with production, quality, and warehouse teams.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple shipments.
  • High attention to detail to ensure product counts, labels, and documentation are accurate.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work overtime or shifts if required.
  • Strong teamwork mindset in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain one).
  • DOT compliance training (if applicable).
  • Training in HazMat handling, depending on the plant's raw materials.
Work Environment

May involve exposure to noise, moderate temperatures, and handling of materials.

Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.

Ability to lift 50lbs or more.

Able to perform in a high-pressure fast paced environment.
