Position: Cardiac Monitoring Technician (Evening & Overnight Shifts)
Job Type: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Location: Walnut Creek, CA (Hybrid Schedule)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and clinically skilled Cardiac Monitoring Technician to join our team for evening and overnight shifts based out of our Walnut Creek, CA location. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, combining onsite collaboration with remote monitoring responsibilities. You will be responsible for real-time monitoring and analysis of ECG transmissions using Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility (IDTF) software, playing a critical role in identifying cardiac events and supporting timely clinical decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor, review, and interpret ECG recordings and associated algorithm findings for clinical accuracy and completeness
  • Evaluate cardiac rhythms to determine if physician notification criteria are met and document all required actions
  • Escalate abnormal or critical ECG findings in accordance with established physician notification protocols
  • Perform technical analysis of cardiac data and ensure accurate event processing
  • Maintain a high standard of quality assurance in all analyzed and processed data
  • Complete all required training and remain current in ECG rhythm interpretation and evolving clinical practices
  • Meet all productivity and performance standards following completion of initial training
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and support a positive, patient-focused work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of ECG analysis or cardiac monitoring experience preferred
Certifications: CRAT and/or CCT certification through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required

TECHNICAL & CLINICAL SKILLS
  • Strong knowledge of ECG/EKG monitoring and rhythm interpretation
  • Experience with Event and Mobile Cardiac Telemetry (MCT) recorders
  • Familiarity with medical terminology related to cardiology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and Windows operating systems

  • Prolonged periods of sitting while continuously monitoring ECG data on computer screens
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for data entry and system navigation
  • Continuous visual focus on detailed medical data and digital displays
  • Regular communication via phone or computer systems
  • Ability to work extended hours, including evenings, overnight shifts, and weekends as needed


Evening Shift - 3PM - 11:30PM CDT
Overnight - 9PM - 5:30AM CDT (5-8) or 8PM - 6:30AM CDT (4-10)
