I. JOB SUMMARY
Performs advanced psychological work. Work involves assessing, reporting, research, interviewing
inmates, and preparing and reviewing cases to facilitate sex offender registration and required
Dynamic Risk Assessment (DRA) evaluations; providing intervention, education, and case
management services within sex offender rehabilitation programming; and providing guidance to
others. Works under minimal supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and
independent judgment.
II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
A. Conducts comprehensive assessments to include administration and scoring of DRA
instruments for the determination of the potential risk to reoffend and assists in making risk-level
recommendations.
B. Interviews sex offenders; and performs an array of technical, research, and administrative
activities for DRA and sex offender rehabilitation programming.
C. Provides advice and counsel in interpreting policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and
standards related to DRA and sex offender rehabilitation programming; and serves as a liaison
with other departments of the agency.
D. Monitors, reviews, and evaluates compliance with program policies and procedures, statutes,
and rules.
E. Collects, organizes, analyzes and prepares materials for response to request for program
information and reports.
F. Provides guidance to others; and assists in training and mentorship for the DRA program.
