job summary:

performing functional and integration testing, using Spring testing framework; and developing and testing applications using integrated development environments (IDE) - IntelliJ, Eclipse, SQL Developer

Experience working with relational DBs (Oracle/DB2), and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB)

Exposure to Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices

Consistent track record to work in a high paced team environment

Experience supporting TLM efforts such as platform upgrades, technology refreshes, and system decommissioning

Financial or brokerage industry experience.

AWS Developer or Solutions Architect certification is preferred

responsibilities:

The candidate must have strong communication skills and experience interacting with geographically complementary team. The candidate will contribute to the entire development lifecycle from concept to deployment as a member of an agile, cross-functional team.

Develop applications, using Java, Spring, Java Persistence API (JPA), Oracle, and Javascript. Deploy large applications to On-prem, Cloud in IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments. Using AWS Services such as: S3, Lambda, EKS, ECS, etc.

Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives.

Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.

qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field

6+ years' experience as a full stack software engineer, delivering software using agile development practices

Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") analyzing, designing, developing, and testing scalable Cloud based software applications, using SOA, Java/J2EE, Spring; and building, deploying applications on on-prem and cloud platforms.

DE performing unit testing of Java/J2EE application according to Test Driven and Behavioral Driven Development methodologies (TDD and BDD), using JUnit/Jest frameworks
