Your Roles And Responsibilities

The city of Pontault-Combault, a commune of 39,332 inhabitants on the outskirts of Greater Paris, combines proximity to the capital, accessibility via the RER E and the A4 highway, and a preserved living environment. The Directorate of Childhood, Youth, Education, and Families brings together 4 services, including a school meals and catering service, and more than 450 staff. Under the responsibility of the team leader, your duties are as follows:

• Ensure the preparation, dressing, and serving of meals
• Perform quality controls related to the reception of food products, the monitoring of the service, the preparation, and the distribution of meals
• Ensure the routine maintenance of the catering service
• Detect anomalies or malfunctions and report them to the team leader
• Participate in the pedagogical support of children during meals (acquisition of autonomy, discovery of taste, food education)

In order to meet the needs of the service, occasional changes in assignment may be requested. The position requires good physical condition (prolonged standing and carrying of loads).

Profile We Are Looking For

Mandatory skills and qualities:

• Mastery of the basics of French (reading and writing) and mathematics (percentage notion…)
• Ability to work in a team and relational qualities
• Ability to withstand a sustained work pace, especially during lunchtime

Other desired skills:

• Knowledge of HACCP regulations
• Mastery of basic cooking techniques in a community setting
• Knowledge of safety rules related to the handling of cleaning products
• Ability to manage a small stock of products
• Knowledge of first aid gestures (SST or PSC1 training)

Hours: During school period

• Full-time position: 8:00-16:00 Monday to Friday at 8 hours/day (8:30-15:00 Wednesday at 6.5 hours)
• Part-time position 28 hours: 8:00-15:30 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 7.5 hours/day
• Part-time position 17.5 hours: 10:15-15:00 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 4.75 hours/day
• During school holidays, all employees work Monday to Friday at 6 hours/day.

Legal Basis
