JOB SUMMARY
The Animal Control Officer enforces animal and rabies control ordinances and licensing regulations within the municipality.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Special Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older. Must possess valid Class "C" Texas driver's license or higher with good driving history.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is heavy and requires the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally with assistance, up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force consistently to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity and walking
