Warehouse AssistantThe Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day activities and all tasks associated with the receipt, storage, shipment of product/materials used in the warehouse of an oilfield remanufacture facility. This role will report to the Equipment (Inventory) Manager.Detailed Description:Maintain inventory accuracy, perform cycle counts and print inventory reports In MSD Shared Files / OracleAssist with all Physical Inventory Counting and audits (including Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Inventories)Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracyRecord shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposesPackage and prepare materials for shipments and arrange or issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materialsProper packing, labeling, and tagging of parts before putting away inventory to prevent misidentification and damage to partsDeliver or route materials to departments using hand truck, forklifts, or sorting binsRequisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stockMay be required to manage the process of unloading and loading trailers, picking up, packing, and shipping stock, tracking, and counting material and placing materials in proper locationsUtilize the established tools, equipment and technologies required to initiate or complete transactions related to in and outbound processes within the warehouse in OracleComplete daily forklift inspection checklist. Maintain and service warehouse equipment like forklift, trucks, and any other company equipment.Driving forklifts, including narrow aisle reachMaintain a well-organized and clean work environmentEnsure that safety procedures are followed in accordance with established regulations e.g. OSHA, PPE, etc.Other various tasks as requiredJob Requirements:Ability to safely lift and carry 50 pounds independentlyMust be very detailed oriented and thoroughClear vision to judge near and far distances to maintain awareness of, watch, and report ongoing work activities to coworkers and third partiesAbility to communicate effectively with department representatives and management, both verbally and in writingAble to work effectively with others in a team-based environment to accomplish company goals and to identify and resolve shipping and receiving issuesAbility to operate hydraulic lift trucks, forklift, and other material handling equipmentModerate use of a variety of hand and power tools to demonstrate a range of mechanically oriented functionsAbility to work on weekends and be on call after hoursAbility to cross train within all areas of the inventory department (Assets / Physical Inventory)Must train new employees in all areas of the inventory departmentDemonstrate clear communication skills and ability to promptly give, and follow, directions when working with othersWear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all designated timesCandidates must possess attributes below:Teamwork.Coordination.Organization.Planning.Time management.Reporting skills.Inventory control.Documentation skills.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalentMust live within a 1 hour driving distance to the yardPreferred QualificationsForklift CertificationKnowledge and experience in warehousing and inventory managementPrevious Mud Motor inventory or shop experienceMSD Asset Validation ExperienceTravel to other districts as neededAdditional Details:This position requires the person to work in both an office and remanufacture warehouse facility environment. The Warehouse Assistance must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. Also, must be able to work closely with others and under deadlines including time-sensitive response situations and be willing to work extended schedules that will include working days, and occasionally nights, weekends, and holidays.
